Sake
Sake is a rice-based alcoholic beverage of Japanese origin. Sake is made from simple ingredients of rice and water and contains no preservatives. The rice used to make sake is not the same as the edible version that most people are familiar with. Sake can be served both hot or cold, and is customarily taken in shot or sipping form. Unlike wine and distilled liquors, freshness is the key to good taste instead of aging.
