Wente Vineyards is California oldest family owned and continuously operated winery. Founded in 1883 by C. H. Wente, the winery is now managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the Wente family. The winery farms nearly 3,000 acres of estate vineyards in the Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay, and Arroyo Seco, Monterey appellations, two premier Central Coast winegrowing regions. “Estate Grown†vintages allow fifth generation winegrower Karl Wente the ability to ensure quality at every step of the winemaking process, from the vine to the bottle. Each wine in the Estate Grown series has a distinctive style based on the vineyards and region where it was grown, as well as the subtle influences of the winemaker.
