Santo Stefano is a tribute to Santo Cambianica and Stefano Riboli, two pioneers of the California wine industry. In 1917, Santo arrived from Italy and founded San Antonio Winery, Saint Anthony’s Winery. His nephew Stefano joined him in 1938. Together, they began a tradition of family winemaking that spans four generations and continues today. In 1986, Stefano and Maddalena Riboli began farming a small, 16-acre vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley’s Rutherford appellation. Located along the Silverado Trail, the site was chosen for its rich, clay-loam soils and gentle slope. Enticing aromas of vanilla and spice are followed by ripe flavors of blackberry, currant, and black cherry. The finish shows hints of bittersweet chocolate. Within each handcrafted bottle, we celebrate the achievements of our family and all the pioneers of the California wine industry.
